At Kitchen Odyssey, we will guide you on a journey of discovery for new kitchen design ideas that are truly unique and purpose designed for your lifestyle and home. When it comes to creating a kitchen, kitchen-diner or open-living/cooking space in your home, the principle starting point for the alterations should be the construction of an holistic, fully inclusive design brief. Your designer will have a comprehensive knowledge of interiors taken from varied environments; understanding spaces, forms & functions, cooking processes, storage practicalities, families and their entertaining criteria within many different home styles and suiting many different client personalities.
Consultation
Initial discussion can be conducted remotely. But the process only really starts when we begin our in-depth questionnaire to assemble a client aspirational brief document, with concept designs discussed and ideas sketched 'on the fly' in front of customer.

Further refinement of your brief and ideas developed for your review. There is always more than one solution. There is always a choice when working within a budget. We provide plenty of sketches and visual aids along the way, to build a complete picture of your dream interior and a chosen path to take forward.

Design Development
When you have reviewed your initial design and engaged our services with a commissioning deposit, we develop the final design to a full set of manufacturing and installation detail drawings and establish a timeline for project planning.

Production Order
Having visited showrooms and factories as necessary during the design, we review all the detailed drawings, the presentation materials and physical material samples, together in our sign-off meeting. This allows all suppliers and manufacturers to begin work in time for your schedule.
Design into Production
Installation
Regular updates and co-ordination with any building work you may be undertaking, is critically important during the whole process. With communication meetings to ensure all trades and professionals are entirely onboard, we ultimately deliver, install and quality check your installation. This is the point that all the meticulous planning and previous efforts pay off.

Review, Referral and Photography
In the end, we simply aim to delight customers who will then happily recommend us to all their friends, family and work colleagues. This means we have completed snagging, conducted our formal sign-off, and taken some photographs for our in-house reference files and with your permission, the glossy magazine press.
How we Finish Your Project
We regularly provide our design services prior to an architect’s involvement, in order to fully articulate specific client requirements for kitchen optimization. A new kitchen-diner layout, or inside-outside-dining capability is more likely to be successful if we know in advance that the kitchen is optimised. We have spent too many a consultation squeezing a kitchen into space that is only one foot (30cm) too small, or leaving desired items out of the design because we are too far down the planning and building design stage to afford to make any changes.
We can quickly sketch spaces whilst sitting with you, to assess your options and eliminate wasteful concept cul-de-sacs early in the process.
Great kitchens cater to your aesthetic preferences but also your practical needs, as well as preferred cooking practices, and your lifestyle, the size of your family and visiting groups of friends. The bespoke design proposal needs to draw from as many sources as possible, so we work with a large range of manufacturers that fit our exacting standards for quality.
Our journey starts with an honest dialogue. This dialogue continues in the form of discussions, sketches, diagrams, and visual presentations. Quality and consistency of clear hand-drawn sketches and computer visuals, keeps the client fully informed and included in the process - so important when making decisions on things not yet made.
